Christmas is a time for loving others. Every time you smile at another or offer a hand, you can ease someone’s load. Whenever there is human need, there is opportunity to do a good deed. Christmas is a time for giving the light of love to those most in need, supplanting empty hearts and pouring into a sick world the healing medicine of love. In fact, every time we give, it’s Christmas.
To fear love is to fear life itself. We are most vividly alive when we love. To love another is to surpass oneself. When love melds two beings into unity, the secret of life is discovered.
Christmas is remembering those who serve us unfailingly. Christmas is a time of year but it is also a state of mind.
