Questions & Answers: Lauren P.

Were you successful in selling your house? How long did it take?

Lauren: Yes! Six months total (two months in escrow).

Did you have concerns about the difficult housing situation when you put your house on the market?

Lauren: Yes. It was pretty bad — and then got worse. I was worried my house would never sell. I wondered if I should just forget the whole thing and stay where I was.

How did you get the house sold?

Lauren: They met with my realtor, and also used one of their own brokers to look at my house and make sure things were on track to get my house sold.

What could have been better about the program (or what could we have done better)?

Lauren: Nothing! I'm pleased with the whole thing — I have no criticism. They even granted me an extension past the 90 days, since my closing date was after that.

What was your biggest concern before going into the program?

Lauren: That my house wouldn't sell and I wouldn't be able to move.

Are you glad you moved, even though you hadn't sold your house?

Lauren: Yes. I felt very much at home. It was a good solution.
