Jay D. Prince Named Administrator at GlenView-GlenBrook

CARLSBAD, CALIF. – Jay Douglas Prince has been appointed administrator for GlenView Assisted Living and GlenBrook Skilled Nursing in Carlsbad, Calif. The GlenView-GlenBrook health center, located at 1950 Calle Barcelona, provides health care services to the public as well as residents of La Costa Glen, the continuing care retirement community located adjacent to the facility. In his new role as administrator, Prince will be responsible for the daily operations and management of the health center, including financial, regulatory, clinical and personnel functions. GlenView-GlenBrook offers skilled nursing, assisted living, hospice care, memory care and home care.

Originally from the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area in Minnesota, Prince has been a licensed and practicing nursing home administrator for the past five years. Prior to joining GlenView-GlenBrook, he was the administrator for Vista Grande Villa in Jackson, Mich., and recently won the 2011 American College of Health Care Administrator's Facility Leadership Award in recognition of his work at that community. Prince was associate administrator for Sumner on Ridgewood in Copley, Ohio, prior to Vista Grande Villa.

A Certified Nursing Home Administrator, Prince holds a bachelor of arts degree in healthcare management from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., as well as program certificates in healthcare administration and long-term care administration from the National Association of Long-term Care Administrator Boards (NAB).

Prince is a resident of Oceanside, Calif.

GlenBrook Skilled Nursing is a 70-bed skilled nursing center providing professional staffing, including a registered nurse, 24 hours a day. The nursing center also offers a variety of physical, occupational and speech therapies. The therapy services are available seven days a week to residents of the nursing center and on an outpatient basis for the general public.

GlenView Assisted Living offers 74 residential-style apartment homes for those needing help with daily routines such as bathing, meal preparation and medication management, with assistance available 24 hours a day. GlenView also features the Gardens, a secured memory support unit providing physical activity, socialization and mental stimulation.
