New Health Center Administrator Jay Prince
The Health Center at La Costa Glen welcomes
Jay Prince as Administrator of the Center. Jay is from Bemidji, Minnesota, and received his Bachelors Degree in Hospital and Long-term Care Administration from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. Jay decided to work in Long-term Care after he completed a 24-hour Skilled Nursing resident experience as an undergraduate. This experience consisted of entering the facility as a patient, complete with entry forms, examination, meals and an assigned bed.
He received medical treatment and therapy for 24 hours. Jay said this experience gave him true insight as to the nature of being a Health Center resident. Most recently Jay worked for a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Jackson, Michigan, called Vista Grande Villa.
Jay intends to operate the Health Center with the knowledge and skills he has developed since leaving the academic world to help insure the highest possible quality of life for the residents.
The residents of La Costa Glen warmly welcome Jay Prince and his wife of three years, Anna. During my interview I found Jay to be comfortingly congenial and knowledgeable in the Continuing Life Community concept. Should I need to utilize our Health Center in the future, talking with Jay has put me at ease.
