A/V Committee Chair Richie Clyne

It’s Friday night, so what’s playing at the Brentwood Theater? Check Channel 3 and it will give you all the movies for the current week, menus and much more information on activities at LCG. This is just one of the services provided by the Audio-Visual Committee.

This committee, chaired by Richie Clyne, supports the needs for the movies, lectures, events, and our in-house TV  channels (3/4 on Senior TV and 15/17 or 115/117 on Time Warner). These needs include the Brentwood Theater, recording equipment, projectors, the sound systems in Catalina Hall and any other equipment necessary to ensure proper performances. Maintaining Channels 3 and 4 is also the committee’s responsibility.

This committee consists of six residents and some additional theatre “projectionists.” Many hours are needed to give the residents of LCG the many movies, special events and other events which require Audio/Visual equipment. For the movies, several volunteers will work setting up the Friday and Sunday evening movies, showing the movies and closing the theater. It takes four to eight hours a week to keep Channel 3 updated with menus and events and approximately twelve hours a
week handling the needs of any concerts, lectures and Town Hall meetings.
