Hospitality Committee

 - By Betty McCreary - Dorothy Roll is the new Hospitality chair. This hardworking committee of over 40 members gets in touch with each new resident. Members arrange to have lunch or dinner with the new residents, encourage them to join La Costa Glen’s many activities and introduce them to other residents with similar interests. Each member of the Hospitality Committee has a chance to host the weekly Hospitality Table, set every Tuesday at 5:00pm (alternates restaurants every two months). Also, each member can help run the monthly birthday breakfast party held on the fourth Friday of the month at 10:00am. Hospitality...

Fitness Corner: News from the Fitness Committee

- Contributed by Joy Wiker - Clare Sheldon, a Sea Breeze resident, grew up in England walking the hillsides of Cheshire with her father. She has always enjoyed walking and continues this healthy activity here at La Costa Glen in the early morning hours. You may have seen her as she travels the property every day except for Tuesday where you will find her at the Batiquitos Lagoon with fellow residents. March 2010 Display Cases

- By Betty McCreary - Fairway display cases will feature the daughter of Barbara Harris of Oak Grove, who has designed jewelry for Sax Fifth Avenue customers. Barbara’s daughter, Nancy Casper of San Marcos, has been designing all her life. She is also a retired dentist, school teacher, real estate broker and decorator. Nancy has just returned from Tahiti where she purchased pearls for her jewelry creations. We are very fortunate to have this fine jewelry on display.
